Was here today and was sent home with no help for my asthma exacerbation by a nurse practitioner. I understand that if my chest sounds clear that it doesnt sound like an exacerbation but two hours later and I'm breathless although I have had well over the amount of rescue medication. Managed to get a telephone consultation with a weekend doctor and she was fantastic. Knew what I was on about and understood and listened to my concerns. I now have the go-ahead to take my emergency steroids and am much more calmer knowing I have someone who has told me I am bad enough to need them, and I am not just over exaggerating. Thank you to the lovely doctor that I spoke to on the phone just then.
